Services available to our patients

Physiotherapist – Anand Kumar sees patients for neck, back, ankle, and wrist and shoulder pain. Also sees patients for trauma/falls, injuries sustained from car accidents and arthritis.

The physiotherapist also offers services such as steroid injections.

The physiotherapist can also referral on to secondary care for treatment.

Minor Ops – Dr Ubogu, Dr Mirza and Dr Amin offer steroid injections. Dr Mirza also sees patients for moles, cysts, ingrown toenails and skin tags.

Clinical Pharmacists – Sairha Azam and Shariq Janjua can see patients for reviews of chronic disease management including COPD, Asthma, Hypertension, Mental Health, Heart Failure and Atrial Fibrillation.

Paramedic – Amy McDonald sees patients for acute urine symptoms, cough & cold symptoms, sore throats, rashes, Allergic reactions, Blood tests, B12 injections, Urinalysis.

Home visit assessments are available for our housebound patients.

The paramedic also sees patients for chronic disease management including Asthma, Learning disabilities and Diabetes.

Nursing team – Suzanna, Kirsty, Serena and Sonia see patients for chronic disease management such as Asthma, copd, diabetes, pre-diabetes, Hypertension. The team also provide services such as NHS health checks, B12s, blood tests, BP, nasal flu, contraception review, ECG, vaccinations and immunisations. Other services available are wound care, dressings, swabs, smear tests, Prostap injections and 24hr BP monitoring.

Other services that are available to patients from external agencies include, Birmingham healthy minds and our roots Psychotherapist.

The Active Well-being society – social prescribing team are available to assist patients who may require assistance advice and guidance around employment and debt issues, loneliness and isolation or bereavement. Other services available include managing health conditions which are directly affected by diet, activity levels and weight management.

Social Prescribing provides people with alternative ways of addressing their own emotional and mental health with Personalised Care that starts in and around health centres.  The referral programme enables people to benefit from being more active and socially connected, targeting some of the most deprived areas of Birmingham and Solihull  and those with some of the highest rates of physical inactivity.
